In 2020, I set out on a mission to make a documentary about birth around the world. I sold everything I had to make this dream happen, and the journey has been long, challenging and full of unexpected turns. But a part of me still hopes to one day finish what we started.
Making a documentary about birth is anything but easy — birth is unpredictable, and filmmaking is expensive!
When Covid brought our travels to a halt, I had to find new ways to fund this very special project.
That's when the idea of Birthmood was born. Instead of just talking about birth, what if we could actually show it? All kinds of births, helping people understand, learn and feel less afraid of the unknown.
Now, I'm hoping Birthmood can help bring my original dream to life.
