What I do

Birth photography and being a doula isn't my job – it's my life.

For three decades, I've been invited into the most sacred spaces on earth. Not simply to document birth, but to protect it. To witness it. To hold space when words aren't needed. The camera has never been the most important part of my work – it's simply an extension of my hand.

More than birth support, a connection built on trust

Chemistry is everything when it comes to birth.  It's such an intimate and vulnerable experience, and I believe you deserve to feel completely safe with the person you invite into that space. That’s why we take the time to get to know each other before making any commitments.

Since many of my clients live abroad, we usually begin with a Zoom call. We talk about you, your wishes, your fears, and what you need to feel safe and supported. We also explore how I can best support you and your partner, so that we can build a connection based on trust, understanding, and mutual respect.

My role is to protect your «birth bubble» , creating a safe, calm space where you can let go, surrender to the process, trust your body and instincts, and give birth in your own way.

Support that feels right for you

After attending hundreds of births, one of the greatest gifts I’ve developed is the ability to read a woman and the room around her. I often sense what you need before you even have the words to express it.

Some women need quiet, space, and a reassuring presence in the background. Others need hands-on support, strong counterpressure, massage, and someone who can guide them through each contraction. Your needs may change throughout labour, and I will adapt to you every step of the way.

I can be your voice when you struggle to find your own, your advocate when you need to be heard, a reassuring friend, or a motherly presence when you need to feel held and cared for. Sometimes I will guide you; sometimes I will simply sit beside you. And sometimes, the most important thing I can do is understand what you need without you having to ask.

There is no right or wrong way to give birth, and there is no single way I support a mother. My role is to meet you where you are, honour your wishes, and help you feel safe, respected, and cared for. I’m used to working in all different birth settings, at home, at the hospital or in the OR.

Preparing you and your partner

I believe that birth preparation is something you should experience together. That’s why all my clients receive BIRTHMOOD, giving you and your partner the opportunity to prepare for birth together, deepen your understanding of the process, and feel more confident about the journey ahead.

When we meet in person, I will also treat you to my special pregnancy massage, a beautiful opportunity to relax, connect, and get to know each other on a deeper level.

I will introduce you to different comfort measures and pain-relief techniques that may help you during labour. Your partner will learn these techniques too, so they can feel confident and involved in supporting you.

I will never take your partner’s place. Instead, I work alongside them, helping them understand what you need and giving them the tools and confidence to support you. If they need a break, I will be there. And if you are giving birth without a partner, I will offer as much hands-on and emotional support as you need.

My wish is for you to feel that, for once, you can let someone else take care of you. To feel nurtured, protected, listened to, and loved throughout this extraordinary experience.

Because if there is ever a time in your life when you deserve to be truly taken care of, it is when you bring your baby into the world.

I am there for the whole journey

I plan to arrive two weeks before your due date, giving us plenty of time to settle in, connect, and prepare for your baby's arrival. Birth is unpredictable. It may unfold in a matter of hours, or it may take days. We can never know exactly how your story will unfold, but my commitment is to support you throughout the entire process while documenting it.

From the early signs of labour to the moment you hold your baby in your arms, I will be there to offer continuous support, reassurance, and care. We also do a debrief some time after birth.

I will also document your birth journey through photographs, capturing those first precious moments and the beginning of your new family. Before I travel home, I want you to have beautiful memories to look back on.

These moments are once in a lifetime, and it is an honour to help you preserve them.
